Peanut Butter Old Fashioned

Ingredients

• 1½ fluid ounces whiskey
• ½ fluid ounces peanut butter whiskey
• ¼ fluid ounce simple syrup
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters
• Reese’s peanut butter cup, for garnish (optional)
• Ice, large cube

Measurement Conversions: 1 fl oz = 1 shot = 30ml

How To Make

• Combine whiskey, simple syrup, bitters and ice into a glass and stir well until chilled.
• Garnish with a Reece’s cup.

Notes

• Whiskey - Don’t have peanut butter whiskey? Just use 1 oz smooth peanut butter and mix until it dissolves. In this case, increase base whiskey to 2 fl oz. Get creative by also adding ½ fl oz cinnamon or chocolate whiskey.
• Bitters - Try substituting Angostura bitters with chocolate bitters.
• Simple syrup consists of equal amounts of white sugar and water. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir to dissolve the sugar and cook until the mixture is slightly thickened. Cool before using. As an alternative to simple syrup you can try substituting with 1 teaspoon of maple syrup to give another depth of flavor pairing with peanut butter.
