This recipe will guide you through crafting the perfect autumnal Old Fashioned, a drink that's both comforting and invigorating. So grab your favorite whiskey, some crisp apple cider, and get ready to experience a taste of fall in every sip!

Ingredients

  • 2 fluid ounces whiskey
  • 2 fluid ounces apple cider
  • ¼ fluid ounce simple syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Cinnamon stick, for garnish
  • Ice, large cube

Measurement Conversions: 1 fl oz = 1 shot = 30ml

How To Make

  • Add simple syrup and bitters to a glass.
  • Add ice and stir to combine.
  • Add whiskey and apple cider and stir until well chilled.
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Notes

  • Simple syrup consists of equal amounts of white sugar and water. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir to dissolve the sugar and cook until the mixture is slightly thickened. Cool before using. As an alternative to simple syrup you can try substituting with 1 teaspoon of maple syrup to give another depth of flavor pairing with apples.
